The countdown continues for the 405 closure between the 10 and 101 through Sepulveda Pass. Authorities are encouraging those who need  to drive that day to plan alternate routes and leave in plenty of time to get to their destinations. Its anticipated, they say, that other freeways will feel the ripple effect of the 10 mile closure the weekend of July 17-18, 2011. The 405 through the pass will close for 53 hours so workers can begin to demolish the Mulholland Bridge.
